Job Description

We are looking for a talented UI/Front End Developer to join our expanding team. We want our users to love our Website so our focus is on providing a fantastic user experience. Primarily, you will be responsible for HTML, Javascript and CSS development within a cross functional team as well as promoting front end development best practices to the wider development team. You will be working closely with the Product and Business Owners, QA and back-end developers as we work in a collaborative manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing high quality HTML, Javascript and CSS code
  • Promoting best practices for all areas of front end development
  • Working as part of a cross functional team of developers, QA Engineers and Product Owners
  • Working in an Agile environment and contributing to the overall function of the team

Skills & Requirements

The following skills and experience are required:

  • Commercial experience using HTML, Javascript, SASS/CSS, including JS frameworks and responsive design
  • Experience of applying TDD to Javascript development
  • Experience optimising front end performance of websites
  • Agile project experience with the confidence to strive for continuous improvement within the team
  • Know how to work within a PHP codebase
  • Ability to work on your own initiative/be a self-starter who can see what needs fixing and fix it!
