Your key responsibilities:

As a Software Developer your primary responsibility is the production, maintenance and ongoing development of software solutions. Based in the Graphics and Data Solutions department, you will work with other members of the department, programme makers, other key areas of the TV and Digital Platforms division, and other internal and external parties with the final goal of producing functional systems.

– Liaison with designers, statisticians, technical directors, studio production staff, programme makers, and a wide cross-section of the business
– You will liaise with Operations Analysts to ensure that effective and up-to-date documentation is available for all systems
– Dedicatedly monitoring systems to ensure correct operation
– Development and refinement of throw-away simulation or prototypes to confirm requirements, development of software solutions.
– Continually assessing the effectiveness of procedures, and recommending upgrades to processes and procedures
– Testing, including defining/supporting acceptance testing and gathering feedback from pre-release testers
– Developing demonstrations and/or samples for subsequent product build/release cycles.
– Ensuring that all faults are logged and that reporting procedures are followed

Your skills:

– Strong communication and leadership skills
– Good written and spoken communication, problem solving ability, proactivity, awareness of the business needs and marketplace.
– .NET with C#, Java script (React preferred), Cloud web services, SQL Server and developing solutions using Agile methodology
– Desirable exposure to developments on Unity, Viz, or Clarity
