Your key responsibilities:

– You will be 2nd/3rd line support for Sky Mobile covering all Mobile Network Elements/Systems/Services on the SKY’s MVNO platform

– You will have good understanding of Mobile elements including PGW, OCS, IMS, VAS, their interworking principles in order to support associated mobiles services and associated protocols.

– Managing fault resolution from Sky mobile subscribers, third party suppliers OLOs and interconnect partners, and Roaming partners

– You will support network platform and system changes to ensure they are successful without any customer impact.

– Reacting, investigating, and resolving faults generated by the Sky Mobile MVNO platforms

– To ensure all maintenance procedures, software updates and upgrade activities are adhered to according to the specified Sky procedures and change practices

– To proactively use KPIs, stats, and analysis flows to spot and track trends and areas of concern, highlighting issues and taking appropriate actions to resolve and minimise any impact to services, customers, and operations

Your skills:

– Strong background in Mobile Voice and Data Network Operations and NOC environments, working at a tier 2 to tier 3 level.

– Experiences of a range of mobile network voice and data switching, signalling, and billing systems and platforms.

– Good level of experience in the mobile telecoms industry as support engineer in an Operations environment.

– Excellent working knowledge of mobile telecommunications principles, architecture, signalling and protocols. Knowledge of all mobile domains, to include voice, 3G/4G data, and SMS/MMS messaging

– Ability to work in a pressured real-time environment. Analytical mind-set and approach to problem solving, network changes
