Your key responsibilities:

  • Define, extract, load, develop and maintain dataset required to Identify system integrity at a transactional level
  • Work with various data warehouses and source systems to ensure feeds are delivered on time.
  • Work with other Sky teams to test any changes made to any network performance data.
  • Implement changes and new requirements to current data extractions and processes.
  • Create End to End data sets for easy self-service reporting.
  • Take requests from the wider SSP Analytics team and translate it into multiple database queries that extract the required data, manipulate and format it in an appropriate way for reporting and/or analysis.
  • Extraction, loading and transformation of data from multiple databases to support daily and weekly reports that help to measure, verify and perform analysis of Services.
  • Undertaking the above duties may involve having access to information of a confidential nature.  Confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
  • Follow Sky’s data protection and security policies, ensuring the provisioning area is adequately trained and aware and that all breaches and other issues are reported to the data protection office

Your skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of querying large databases
  • Oracle and Netezza
  • Toad/PL SQL Developer/Aginity or equivalent tools
  • Advanced MS Office (in particular Excel)
  • Excel Macros/VBA/MS Queries
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouses and Business/Customer Intelligence
  • Unix Cron and vi editor
  • Experience in UAT
