Overview

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the Creative Tools SCRUM team, contributing to the development of Mirriad’s cutting edge video editing and analysis tools and their integration with the rest of our systems. This includes both desktop and cloud-based components. This is a unique opportunity to work with the full life-cycle of a video post-production integration environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will get to develop and maintain APIs exposing video analysis and editing capabilities. You will;
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of our 3D engine and Machine Learning stack
  • Work on robust yet innovative computer vision algorithms for object and planar tracking
  • Resolve challenges in UI, GPU processing and modern cloud computing

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes needed for the role

Required Experience:

  • You will ideally have around 3 years of experience in Python development
  • You will be using CI and CD in a regular software-release environment
  • You will have been designing and implementing RESTful APIs in Flask or Django
  • You will be using message-oriented middleware e.g. ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka etc.[FT2]
  • You will be using a modern source version control system (Git, Mercurial)
  • You will be communicating effectively at different levels: from Engineers to End-User
  • You will have had some exposure to Docker and be using at least one cloud provider, ideally AWS

Desirable Experience:

  • Infrastructure as code: Terraform
  • Significant commercial experience Java and/or C++
  • Knowledge of C++14 and focus on portability of C++ code.
  • Developing and supporting portable code across Linux and Windows.
