We are looking for a talented, motivated and dedicated QA & Test Automation Engineer, who would like to progress to Lead QA, to join our exceptional engineering team.

About the Role

Huddle QAs are multitalented individuals, blending knowledge of QA best practices with excellent communication skills and technical knowledge.

At Huddle, we take pride in the features we deliver and the way in which we solve engineering problems. As a QA, you’d be expected to:

  • Work side-by-side with developers, architects and product managers on Agile/Kanban teams with a dev-ops mentality
  • Report and manage defects through to successful resolution
  • Manage testing on your team for from the ground up
  • Write and maintain automated acceptance- and system tests
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of our QA practices
  • Suggest updates and improvements to the Huddle Engineering process and product

About the Team

The agile teams work at the heart of Huddle’s engineering process to ensure a consistently top class product is delivered to our customers in a way that is scalable to the business.

Even though the QAs are spread across the different dev teams, they also meet as a group to discuss QA best practices, automation strategies, sync up on complex projects and figure out where next to go out for QA lunch.

At Huddle we have a collaborative jukebox playing in the background, gather around colorful stand-up boards and give all of our demos in the Huddle auditorium.

Huddlers are foodies, sports enthusiasts, video- and board gamers, and pub goers. There’s burger club, cheese club, monthly release drinks, team lunches, fancy breakfast on Mondays, lunch on Wednesdays and beer o’clock on Fridays. About You

  • You’ve got 4+ years’ experience in QA testing software
  • You take pride in the work that you and your team deliver
  • You are a natural at setting priorities, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and share in the excitement of growing a global cloud-based business
  • Like us, you’re enthusiastic, driven, and motivated by constant improvement.
  • You’re a great communicator and love to work and collaborate with others
  • You like a challenge and want to continually learn

Core Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience in managing- & executing software testing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good skills in test automation /programming
  • Good knowledge of at least one OO language, ideally Python
  • Good knowledge of SQL

Brownie Points

  • An interest in mentoring
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment
  • Experience in writing Python code and using frameworks such as Selenium and Pytest
  • Experience with REST- and/or SOAP API testing
  • Experience of Continuous Integration
  • Understanding of JavaScript
  • Understanding of release management
  • Understanding of Microservices, SOA and distributed systems architecture
