GreenJinn, a dynamic, London based startup developing a couponing app for healthier groceries in UK supermarkets, is looking for a Remote ANDROID DEVELOPER.

PLEASE NOTE: we’re looking for a permanent team member, living in Europe.  We’re NOT interested in outsourcing to software houses or in cooperation with candidates living in other continents (for coordination and practical reasons).

GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of Android app (currently under development)
  • App testing and debugging, solving user’s problems with the app
  • Coordinating changes in the app with the team responsible for PHP backend and server maintenance and development
  • Participation in tests with users and app-developing workshops, understanding of the users’ needs and perspective
  • Proactively proposing UX and UI improvements of the app, implementing new functionalities in the app

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Fluent in English
  • Proactive and creative in solving problems, proposing ideas and improvements
  • Good communication skills and empathy
  • Customer-centric mindset, understanding of User Experience and User Interface Design
  • Entrepreneurial, flexible, open-minded mindset, “never give up” approach
  • Strong interest in innovation

MUST HAVES:

  • Min. 3 years experience as an Android developer, min. 3 apps developed and launched on the market
  • Excellent skills in programming in Java
  • RESTful API, multithreaded and asynchronous programming, use of Source control (git), continuous integration, and testing techniques
  • Knowledge of Crashlytics and Mixpanel

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Living in or interested in relocating to London
  • Graphic design skills, design taste
  • Experience in retail & FMCG and shopping apps
  • Experienced in working with startups
