HEAD OF PRODUCT (LONDON) 

We are getting ready to launch and scale GemFair, a pilot project that aims to create a secure and transparent route to market for ethically-sourced artisanal and small-scale mined diamonds. By providing artisanal and small-scale miners with access to the global market and offering fair prices, GemFair hopes to improve miners’ livelihoods and foster the sector’s development as a credible and trusted source of diamond supply.

As the Head of Product, you are based in London, and you will lead the product development team to launch and scale GemFair in new markets and product categories. GemFair will soon pilot in Sierra Leone, and as one of the early employees in this new initiative, you will have the opportunity to take an active role in strategic decisions and the overall direction of the venture.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and build an all-star product team to achieve the GemFair vision
  • Define, prioritise and execute on a product roadmap that takes the product through MVP and launch
  • Set and measure KPIs that drive key product and business decisions for the company
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to scope, design, test and deliver innovative solutions in emerging markets
  • Foster a data-driven culture across all functions within the company
  • Manage releases and communication with all internal and external stakeholders

Desired

  • Experience with logistics and internal operations tools (eg. CRM, ERP, etc)

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience
  • Startup mentality with track record of launching and scaling digital products
  • Deep understanding of user research, business planning, product design and development methodologies
  • Significant experience managing both consumer products as well as enterprise solutions
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to set and manage expectations at the executive level
