comparethemarket.com (CtM) is home to the extremely popular Meerkat Movies App, which to date has had more than 2 million downloads. Our engineers play an integral part of growing this household app and we develop enthusiastically for both iOS and Android native apps.

We are looking for an iOS Engineer to join our London based mobile team to be a key member in driving our native app forward. Meerkat Movies is a vital cornerstone of both our rewards and overall CtM strategy.

As an iOS Engineer our customers’ journey through our app will be extremely important to you, Meerkat Movies is a key part of our business and our users matter most to us. You’ll get to work on a popular app that benefits millions of people, you’ll be passionate about working collaboratively with other mobile developers and engaging with different stakeholders.

As a high functioning iOS Engineer you’ll have advanced working knowledge of Swift (or Objective-c) or Java. You’ll also have:

  • Knowledge of JavaScript SQL and NoSQL
  • Exposure to deploying applications to cloud environments (AWS, Azure etc.)
  • Experience with web technologies including HTTP, SOA, AJAX and REST
  • An interest in keeping up to date with developments in your technical and professional area of expertise – genuine passion for new technologies
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers – team first, no ego
