Role Description

Collinson Group is recruiting for a Mid-Level Business Analyst to join the company on a permanent basis at our London offices.

Working as a Business Analyst in our Future Loyalty division, you will be expected to support and enable business change with responsibility for eliciting requirements from business owners for projects and then performing the necessary analysis and documentation to ensure the changes are made.

This role is quite technical in focus and would need the successful candidate to have good API knowledge and an ability to write API requirements and understand sequence diagrams.

Your projects would focus 100% on loyalty products across core product and roadmap build, client on boarding, client CRs and client support.

At Collinson Group, our Business Analysts will work closely with business leads as well as technical teams such as development, test and architecture in the course of delivering the changes needed by the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery

  • Work with the Project Team and Steering Group to clarify the full scope of the Project.  This may involve working in conjunction with other BA’s.
  • Work with the Project Team to ensure all User Stories are accurately defined and scheduled in accordance with the overall plan.
  • Provide day-to-day support for the Project Teams, ensuring that any clarification or additional documentation is provided in a timely fashion and does not impact the project plan.
  • Ensure that required sign-offs are achieved in a timely manner to not impact the project plan.
  • Provide the link between the development team and business representatives regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Analyse business objectives and align requirements captured to these business objectives
  • Conduct feasibility, benchmark and competitive analysis studies
  • Setup, structure and deliver a suite of high quality BA documents
  • Define, document and manage change on business and functional requirements
  • Interview stakeholders and facilitate workshops and other requirements gathering meetings
  • Contribute to and deliver considered, concise and relevant presentation to internal and external teams.
  • Capture data elements, organise and model data to support or improve recommendations.
  • Drive results and high levels of colleague satisfaction.

Team Working

  • Work as part of the Business Analysis communities within the Group to align project deliverables, solutions and operations
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure all requirements gathering and analysis tasks are accurately planned within the overall agreed timeframes of the projects
  • Provide regular and accurate reports of progress and any changes to the Project Manager and Head of IT Programmes.
  • Contribute to regular Project Team meetings to ensure the correct tasks are being worked on and share key decisions required, risks identified and highlight and issues encountered

Knowledge, skills & experience required:

  • IT Degree Qualified Desired
  • Proven Business Analyst experience of successful project implementation in a software environment.
  • Demonstrable experience writing requirements specifications and User Stories for Information Systems.
  • Able to write API requirements.
  • Understand sequence diagrams.
  • Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between.
  • Knowledge and experience of agile methodology for project delivery.
  • Experience of working across multiple delivery organisations practising distributed development in a global environment
  • Experience of working multi-disciplined development teams, including external vendors and agencies providing services for projects.
  • The ability to demonstrate through examples, the effective management of stakeholder relationships at all levels internally and externally
  • Excellent written & spoken English & interpersonal communication
  • MS Office and MS Project knowledge and skills
  • Experience of projects in Travel, Insurance, Loyalty and Benefits sectors highly desirable
