It’s an exciting time to join BookingBug. We’re scaling up our Technology teams, and looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join one of our Dev Squads (affectionately named after video games). The BookingBug platform is built on the AWS cloud platform, and is constantly in a state of expansion. We employ various frameworks, from front-end AngularJS interfaces to Swift 3 SDK, and microservices with AWS Lambda.

Based in our London HQ, you will be working across a range of internal and client projects – including a growing list of major UK and US brands such as John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Westfield, Cooperative Bank, HM Treasury and more. There’s loads to get stuck into in this role – at the moment the team are involved in

  • Implementing Redux with Angular
  • Exploring microservices with AWS Lambda
  • Building developer engagement libraries in JavaScript, Swift 3 and java
  • Building scalable, versioned, fully functional API leveraging elastic search

About You

  • You’re passionate about all things web, with a keen broader interest in design, development, usability and technology
  • You have relevant commercial experience (3-7 years) within a similar role including hands-on HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript development experience working with AngularJS (essential)
  • You’re not afraid of the backend, and happy to get your hands dirty when the task requires it
  • You have experience working collaboratively with colleagues from multiple departments including nontechnical teams
