Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst on the Strategy and Operations team, you will play an important part in our fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will be instrumental in supporting the planning, measuring, controlling and enabling of the organisation. Considerably beyond the traditional realm of a management information function, you will work across the business (regionally and functionally) to support informed decision making along a number of key dimensions essential to supporting the firm’s growth agenda.

We know that there is infinite data available that could potentially help us make decisions, and that we only have a small amount of it. Your innovative thinking will identify novel analyses and external sources of data that could help shape our decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall operational and performance data aggregation
  • Extract information from proprietary systems to conduct quantitative analysis
  • Build dashboards to effectively showcase relevant information, trends, and draw insights to help identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Execute on data-related projects across the business, such as pricing, forecasting, budgeting, workforce planning, recruiting, and retention analytics
  • Partner with Software Engineering function to achieve high standards of data integrity, ensuring supporting metrics are accurate and complete
  • Anticipate business’ needs and effectively manage diverse data needs across various functions, conducting predictive analytics to identify new opportunities, and forecast short and long-term considerations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of directly relevant analytics/business intelligence experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical teams across multiple businesses, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and part of a team, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize workloads in a fast paced environment
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see/understand the big picture, develop new ideas and think through creative solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read code (Python, C or Java) and understand domain models of business applications
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Mastery in Excel
  • Experience with multiple reporting mediums (e.g., Tableau, Periscope, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience with Ruby and web analytics is a plus, understanding web application infrastructure is preferred
    Coding (Python, C or Java) and web analytics experience is a plus
