Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a creative, passionate and innovative team of front-end developers. The front-end team is responsible for front-end and full-stack development for all user-facing products: our ticketing websites (e.g. theatre.ticketmaster.co.uk and our own retail brand www.fromtheboxoffice.com), our Control Panel, and APIs for large partners such as Groupon, Google and Expedia. We want someone passionate about building great products to drive significant improvements to our user-facing products and help build new products. The team is expanding quickly and we are actively hiring!

Our Software Development Manager Will:

  • Help with architecting and developing the front-end applications
  • Drive the roadmap and priorities for your team, and manage related processes
  • Recruit great engineers, in collaboration with our internal recruiting team
  • Develop engineers on the team and help them advance in their careers
  • Work closely with other functions: our other engineering manager and their team, product management, design, operations and sales

Our Stack:

  • For front end applications we use a Django backend and a combination of React and AngularJS on the front-end
  • For our backend services, we use a mixture of Python and Go, with our legacy application written in Objective C
  • Our stack runs on Kubernetes in GKE, with our legacy application running in a data centre on FreeBSD
  • We use CI pipelines to test our code and build deployment images, and are looking to expand that capability with full CI/CD with a service mesh

Ideal Candidate:

  • You enjoy autonomy and responsibility
  • You have worked on single page web applications with multiple contributors
  • You have managed engineering teams that have a strong record of delivery
  • You have successfully recruited engineers
  • You have an eye for great products and can work with engineers, product managers, and designers to effectively deliver them
  • You enjoy learning and gaining a strong understanding of how things work – you will be expected to understand the ticketing industry and eCommerce in general

Perks & Benefits

  • We have a generous health insurance and pension scheme.
  • You will be given a new MacBook Pro or other laptop/OS of your choice.
  • We have free fruit, Friday afternoon beers, and often free tickets to West End shows and other entertainment.
  • accesso full-time employees benefit from unlimited Udemy courses as part of our global learning culture.

Other Considerations

  • This position will be located in our main Ingresso office in London, W6.
  • We are unable to sponsor work permits at this time, therefore all candidates must be authorized to work in the UK.
  • accesso is a drug-free company.
